Run by the North East Autism Society, the fun-filled, five-kilometre obstacle course takes place on Sunday 15th July at Rising Sun Country Park in North Tyneside.
Throughout the course, participants will be challenged to take on a number of obstacles including a sand bag slalom, water slide, scramble nets, a bungee web and a giant hay stack wall.
The event is aimed at families and is the only event in the North East to be autism friendly by offering relaxed waves with fewer participants, no queues and discounted or free registration for carers or support persons. All event staff are autism aware, and special chill out zones are provided on site.
The North East Autism Society delivers a wide range of services across the North East, supporting families living with an autism spectrum condition, learning difficulties or disabilities. It is committed to understanding the interests, aspirations and dreams of each person referred to them, and to providing a personalised service.
Our staff will be dusting off their trainers and leaving the suits behind as they prepare to get muddy for this very worthy cause. Why not enter a team yourself, whether it is a group of work colleagues, or a family day out with a difference (kids go free!).
